    Not into gaming but my son is and bought him a MSI Alpha 15 (late 2020 model) AMD Ryzen 7 4800H; AMD Radeon RX5600 w/ 6GB GDDR6, 24GB DDR4, 1TByte SSD. 15.6" IPS 144MZ LED screen with Steel Series RGB per key keyboard. Also got him a Steel Series wireless gaming mouse.

    I like the name my parents gave me as it gives me my unique identity. My screen name echoes my personality... that my life is a book and each day is a fresh page to be filled with hopefully interesting and relevant things to make my life sort of a "best seller" 😄

    I dreamt I was backing out of a parking lot. I set the gear on reverse and slowly press on the gas but the car does not move back. I continue stepping on the gas and can feel and hear the engine roaring and tires spinning and screeching but can't make any progress pulling back out and instead the car just slowly inches forward .

    Being different, more so a Pinoy, and embracing it is what motivates me. 🙂 This realization came to me early in my career in the technical field that was dominated by mostly Caucasians here in the US. And the fact that everyday is a battle to show my worth and prove, beyond my color and accent, that I am their peer and an integral part of the team. My different background and values as a Pinoy bring something extra to the table and more often than not, those little extras make a big difference in work ethics that gets things done and bring results. It's true that Asians in general are typecast to be hard workers and are reliable professionals. But then it's those traits that helps in getting the visibility and recognition that paves the way to career advancement and professional growth. I always believe that with dedication and determination, one does not only grow but also bloom wherever planted. 😄

    When I feel depression setting in. I start creating/building or working on things. It doesn't matter how small or how complex it is and before the project gets done, my bout of depression has already dissipated. More importantly, I'm left with a product that may be functional or not but still give me a sense of accomplishing something. That's how I cope or should I say turn the tables on depression. 🙂

    I had this mad crush on a girl from the Nursing department in our university and I tried hard as hell to find ways and means to be a hero or the one who saves the day for her...like a knight in shinning armor. My chance finally presented itself during one afternoon that was raining cats and dogs. I saw her ,nursing outfit and all, waiting for a small break in the rain to make it across the walkways to the next building . Umbrella in tow I made a beeline towards her, she saw me and she smiled, my heart skipped a beat, and in my mind I was claiming a small victory. But then, in my excitement, I guess my feet forgot how to walk and I slipped badly that in a flash I found myself on my back on the very wet pavement. The umbrella flew out of my hands and got carried away by the strong wind gusts. I looked up and she nonchalantly walked past me in the rain and not giving any indication that she knew me. My butt and back hurts but not as much as my heart and pride. #basang-sisiw-feels 😄

    My greatest fear was drowning... So I took up SCUBA diving and became a PADI Dive Master and Assistant Instructor. 🙂
