This happened a couple of years ago. My wife and I were trying to get from BGC to UP TechnoHub in QC to meet some of my high school friends for a small reunion dinner. We agreed to meet at 6pm. We tried getting a taxi or Grab but didn't have any luck. One of the taxi drivers suggested we take the MRT instead, get off at Trinoma and take a taxi from there to our destination. We were told many times before to watch out for pickpockets when taking the MRT specially during rush hours so were very careful. We took a taxi to the Ayala station and headed to QC. As you can imagine, the MRT was jam packed since it was rush hour. We had to stand up squeezed like sardines. By the way, my wife is a blond American and I am a very tall 6'1 Filipino. We looked like we were out of place and a perfect target for pickpockets. When the train arrived in Cubao, there was a mad dash to get out. At this point, I felt someone bump the right back pocket of my pants where I usually put my cell phone. I immediately thought that a pick pocket got my phone. So I quickly grabbed the hand of the guy that bumped me. I felt a cell phone in his hand. He was trying to pull away as I was trying to open the palm of his hands to take back my phone. Then, I saw that the phone he was holding was black. I had a white cell phone. I let go and the guy looked really scared and dashed out of the train. I checked my pockets again and found out that my phone was in my left back pocket. The guy probably thought I was a cell phone snatcher with an American blond girl as an accomplice. Everyone around us were laughing when they heard what I had transpired. The irony of this is that by being so afraid of being victimized, I ended becoming the perpetrator.2 points

Hey.. so it'll be my birthday in a couple of days... Any recommendations ? If you can post the prices too it'll be helpful. No samgyup places for now as I want it to be different this time. I would have gone on a staycation but I'm not comfortable staying in a hotel yet, so I'll just eat my heart out instead. TIA.2 points

I think the thing i miss the most is Not to F Care about wearing this stupid mask. We've come long ways from the Spanish flu and with the technology that we have currently in the bacterial studies and the medical field, I'm wondering why it took months to figure into making the vaccine. Or worse, it could be political motivated. To be honest, ( in my most humble opinion) people look stupid wearing a mask! Has anyone ever told you " Hey Sugar, your mask looks, sexy! Where did you get that from?". Secondly, the education of our children is faltering. How the F do they learn through online education? I wouldn't bat an eyelash if i'd tell the school Principal to have my daughter repeat 5th Grade because Guys, we have to be kidding ourselves - Most kids won't give a rat's bum about school unless they see their friends! Thirdly, the parties. Currently the Mayor from the City of Pines resigned because of Tim Yap's flamboyant party. I miss the parties but why isn't Tim Yap should be given a week stay at the Baguio City Jail for none compliance? Why would the Mayor have to do this? Put Tim Yap in a cage so there! Lastly what do we miss the most? is to travel abroad and not care about F masks. To be able to stay in a hotel not to be discriminated on which state you're from. Especially in New York City. A few months ago as i was about to check into my hotel, the concierge asked me where i came from and i said I'm from the Midwest. New York City has strict regulations on banning people from several states for coming because of the surge of Covid 19. He looked at me and said " I hope you'd enjoy your stay". And handed me the paperwork and i rolled away with my luggage. Despite of where i came from, it's still business as usual.1 point

To prove a point that Pinoys are as good if not better than their Caucasian counterparts and let them know we didn't have a free ride to get to where we are. Sadly, racism is a reality.1 point

Bryan Cranston's Breaking Bad to Showtime ' Your Honor' The best appearance to date from Bryan Cranston would probably be the Super Bowl. Last year, Mountain Dew dragged in Bryan Cranston from vaca and got a 40 seconder - playing Jack Torrance and the creepy twins too. Everyone loves the Dew, the Kansas City Chiefs won after 50 years of being a dud of a team .everybody relishes on Bryan Cranston on Breaking Bad and the series currently showing on Showtime entitled " Your Honor" would probably earn him another Emmy yet! The deal of this show is that it tackles with a Judge from New Orleans would do anything to save his son from going to prison, the kid accidentally rowed a motorcycle rider with his ancient station wagon one fine day, later on, both of them realized that the victim is the son of a violent mobster. This show has a lot of twists abound as i held my warm blanket and cold feet watching Bryan's lines on his forehead giving birth to one after another. It's gripping, It's Terrific!1 point

IN SINGAPORE - 60,000 have received first dose of Covid-19 vaccine Singapore's Covid-19 vaccine programme will kick into high gear in the coming weeks, with more than 60,000 people having received their first doses of the jab, said Health Minister Gan Kim Yong. While delays are expected for vaccine shipments due to supply issues, the Government is monitoring the situation closely to ensure there are enough jabs for all Singaporeans and long-term residents by the third quarter of this year. Healthcare assistants from Ren Ci @ Bukit Batok Street 52 Nursing Home receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine on Jan 11. The Health Ministry said there will be some delays in shipments of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine because of upgrading works at Pfizer's manufacturing plant in Belgium. ST PHOTO: GAVIN FOO Mr Gan, co-chair of the multi-ministerial task force tackling the pandemic, said at a media briefing yesterday that about 10,000 individuals received their vaccine doses on Wednesday, and more will be doing so soon. "These numbers are expected to rise substantially in the coming weeks, as we continue to ramp up our vaccination capacity and operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety," he added. In a statement, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said 39 staff at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases have already received their second dose of the vaccine. This means that they have completed the full vaccination regimen, and will have built up maximum protection in two weeks' time. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine - the only one approved here to date - requires two injections, given 21 days apart. MOH said there will be some delays in the shipments of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine because of upgrading works at Pfizer's manufacturing plant in Belgium. Mr Gan said one particular shipment has been delayed, but is still scheduled to arrive in time for the vaccination programme. But he added that disruptions from time to time should be expected, due to uncertainties that remain surrounding the global vaccine roll-out. He pointed out that manufacturers might divert some of their supplies to other areas that may need vaccines more urgently due to huge outbreaks. Vaccine production and logistics arrangements could also be interrupted, he noted. Singaporeans should thus not wait to get vaccinated and do so as soon as they are given the chance. "When your turn comes for the vaccination, please do make an appointment early, because there will always be a possibility of a disruption as we go along, as we move forward," he said. MAJORITY OF SIDE EFFECTS VERY MILD Many of these symptoms in fact reflect the body's immune system responding to the vaccine dose that has been injected in them, and there will be some that may have more serious side effects which include allergic reactions of a variety of different grades of severity. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR KENNETH MAK, MINISTRY OF HEALTH'S DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL SERVICES. HE NOTED THAT, IN GENERAL, THE MAJORITY OF SIDE EFFECTS HAVE BEEN VERY MILD AND THEY INCLUDE PAIN, REDNESS, SWELLING, SORENESS OF THE MUSCLES, AS WELL AS FATIGUE AND FEVER. Singapore is expecting more Covid-19 vaccine deliveries in the next few months, including from American biotechnology firm Moderna and China's Sinovac. Asked for an update on the review of these vaccines, MOH's director of medical services Kenneth Mak said a decision is expected soon on one of the vaccines under evaluation, which he did not name. "The other vaccine, I understand we are still clarifying further details with the company that produces the vaccine," he added. "We are hopeful that if we are able to get all the information necessary for evaluation, then HSA (Health Sciences Authority) can complete its review process and then give approval for the other vaccines as well." Asked about the side effects experienced by those who have been vaccinated here, Prof Mak said the Government has received some reports of "adverse effects" as they arise. It is currently compiling reports on these and submitting them to its vaccine expert panel for review and recommendations. In general, the majority of side effects reported in various countries that have launched vaccination programmes have been very mild, he said. These include pain, redness, swelling, soreness of the muscles, as well as fatigue and fever. "Many of these symptoms in fact reflect the body's immune system responding to the vaccine dose that has been injected in them, and there will be some that may have more serious side effects which include allergic reactions of a variety of different grades of severity." The authorities are still compiling and organising the data, and will give an update when ready, Prof Mak added. On vaccine passports - proof of vaccination usually for travel purposes - Education Minister Lawrence Wong said Singapore is still studying the matter. For example, the Government will consider reducing the quarantine requirement if it is proven that those inoculated are immune and cannot transmit Covid-19 to others. This would apply to foreign visitors and returning Singaporeans who have received their jabs. "But these are still early days. We are still studying the data and the evidence very carefully before we make any decisions on this matter," Mr Wong said. People are different. Some trust the government, some trust the blackmarket. I just want to clarify your statement. You would rather trust black market vax sources? You wont be able to go after them if you get sick after getting fake vax. At least through official sources you can be assured that its the real thing. Now, the discussion if the real vax is effective or not is another topic.1 point

I was assigned to a client in BGC and back then very limited yung options for cheap food. At the time, petsa de peligro and considering kakatapos pa lang ng Christmas holidays kaya todo tipid. I decided to skip meals until I go back to our office in Makati. While I was walking inside Glorietta, I went straight to a mirror wall ng isang fast food thinking that was the entrance. Yung mga naglalakad nakatingin sakin so I tried to act normal.
