Dear Papa. Thank you for raising me even if you’re not my biological father. I don’t know if you’d be shocked in knowing that i’m not yours but you certainly made a huge impact in my life. Despite of Mama’s drama overtures and complicit accusations, you’ve decided to leave her and you took me with you. You died 20 years ago. I was on my own, your voice resonated in my head - and it made me through tough times. Little did i learned that secrets were unfolding right before me. I received a card a few years ago that i have to come home and attend a funeral. It was at a big funeral place on Mindanao Avenue where the rich people have theirs. The person who died was an old family friend who i’ve worked for when i was a teen. Remember him, Papa? he told Grandma that i should work during the summer break? i was very keen of having 1200 pesos a month, not bad for a kid who doesn’t know much about Excel but the work ethic is good and learned to value currency and savings. Later on my 18 birthday and on my 1st semester in college - he bought me a present - it was a small expensive watch. I declined the gift and was confused about his intentions and he understood my hesitation. He put the watch in his pocket and then i could hardly remember afterwards. As i stepped out of the car, in front of the grand place. The whole building was well lighted and the smell of burning incense was as rancid as the Pasig river made me dizzy. I got the room number and i entered the door and as I stepped in, all the people who i’ve worked with in my teen years hugged me and shaked my hand. There were strange people who took my hand and made me sit with them. They asked about my flight and i said it was long. How’s my life working for the ‘brewery’ and i said good. The strange people were his 3 sons - all Doctors. First time i’ve seen his boys. ” We’ve decided to return this to you” one of them exclaimed and handed the watch. ” I didn’t know he kept it afterall these years!, it must be 20 years since i’ve seen this!” i gasped and smiled as i held it in my hand. ” We never expect you’d turn down the rolex but Dad always reminded us about that moment you turned it down”. ” we’re actually wondering why you did, Kat..”. “ I was too young to have an extravagant gift.” i replied. ” But did you look at the back of it?”. - No. Then i looked at the back and there were words engraved. My eyes got big and about to swallow a huge lump of spit. Then i read : ’ to my only daughter, I love you always, Dad’.2 points

Your life before the pandemic struck. What do you miss most? Do any moments stand out to you? Do you have any videos or photos that you want to share? Is there anything from your pre-pandemic life that you feel you took for granted? Are there things that you might appreciate more after the pandemic ends? I'm teary-eyed actually.1 point

Have you searched for your Ex on Facebook? How is he/she? Can you still remember your last moments with him/her? Tell us about it. You really shouldn't be affected by now. Maybe he/she is just waiting for your friend request 🙂1 point

Bryan Cranston's Breaking Bad to Showtime ' Your Honor' The best appearance to date from Bryan Cranston would probably be the Super Bowl. Last year, Mountain Dew dragged in Bryan Cranston from vaca and got a 40 seconder - playing Jack Torrance and the creepy twins too. Everyone loves the Dew, the Kansas City Chiefs won after 50 years of being a dud of a team .everybody relishes on Bryan Cranston on Breaking Bad and the series currently showing on Showtime entitled " Your Honor" would probably earn him another Emmy yet! The deal of this show is that it tackles with a Judge from New Orleans would do anything to save his son from going to prison, the kid accidentally rowed a motorcycle rider with his ancient station wagon one fine day, later on, both of them realized that the victim is the son of a violent mobster. This show has a lot of twists abound as i held my warm blanket and cold feet watching Bryan's lines on his forehead giving birth to one after another. It's gripping, It's Terrific!1 point

I don't really know where is now. Still alive probably. He sent me a connection request on linked in recently. That's how I know he is still alive. I used to check him out on facebook during the early days.. but it has been a decade or so I guess since we broke up. Last I knew is he got some girl pregnant. Our last moments... It wasn't good, not at all. I didn't date for several years after him. I completely lost interest. And then when I was ready to mingle again, no one is interested in me anymore.1 point

Of course I still Love you. Sorry we screwed up and made bad decisions and it's too late to patch and fix things up. We can't be together now but I guess we can try again next lifetime. Dont worry, I don't hold any grudges, so just be happy and let's enjoy the rest of this ride.1 point

Baby Jean, my pearl, that last time we parted and you held my hand tight and seemingly asking me to stop you from getting in the car and drive away. I should have not let go and instead pulled you close to me to be never ever be apart. If you read this, first love rarely becomes the one you spend your lifetime with, but what they say is true... It never dies.1 point

My favorite Fresh underwater photos taken at Cenote Kulkulkan (Underwater Cavern) in Riviera Maya, Mexico. These photos of a sunken forest and a wall of light do not do justice to the surreal experience swimming in the well of the Gods.1 point

I really like you. For years, ever since nakilala kita. Nagka-sundo tayo sa kalokohan. Kahit sa life goals, pareho tayo ng gusto. Kung alam ko lang back then na may chance ako sayo, I would've held to that. Though, hindi lang talaga siguro tayo para sa isa't isa. Sinubukan kong mag-intay kaso, kinasal ka na. Ngayong pwede ka na, engage naman na ako. I know we tried to get things to work, pero LDR, and ayokong saktan yung isa. Plus, I think you still have some shit you need to work on. Though, if given that chance we can be together, I'll grab that opportunity. I just hope that...in another life, we could be together. Sorry kung nasaktan kita and things didn't end as we expected. I wish you all the best. Sana makahanap ka ng guy na magpapa-saya sa'yo. That you'll annoy with your cuteness, and can really appreciate who you are. I know that were not suuppose to say the L word, but I love you.1 point

I'm fond of watching the sunset and taking photos of the sunset. Most specially if there's high contrast in the colors. This photo is from my collection of Sunset Silhouettes.1 point

Very high possibility that Terry Silver will be making an appearance this coming Season 4. Also read that there's a possibility of Julie (from The Next Karate Kid) making a short appearance. Can't wait for Season 4! 😄1 point

I remember The Labyrinth.. I think it haunted me for a long time... It was memorable for me because of the "Escher stairs" scene. It was scary and fascinating at the same time. My parents left me to my own devices. So I can operate the betamax/vhs players on my own and I just pick whatever sounds interesting from my parents' stash of tapes. PS the first few posts on this thread are of "scary" movies. Were we all scarred/traumatized as kids? 🙂1 point
