  8. I'm turning 39 in a few weeks. I'm not satisfied with what I have achieved so far. Still loads of things to do. And getting closer and closer to 40, I have a sense of panic that my time is running out. My consolation is that finally, I'm on the right path. I have a job I love and that pays well. I hope this upward trend continues so I can achieve some of the things I've set out to do. I hope when I turn 40, I can say I'm happy with how my life has turned out

  12. Not all enjoyable activities are monetizable. If you're lucky, what ever it is your doing could earn you money. Then your question is answered. Or, you can scan all monetizable activities, pick one that you think will be tolerable to you. And then teach yourself to love that activity. But then all enjoyable activities will be done by more people, pay will be minimal, supply and demand rule. If you're uniquely good at an enjoyable monetizable activity then thats what were all looking for. Xgames athlete, astronaut, youtuber, model, etc.

Money or Passion? ROAD 1: If you had this job, everything was going well, good business was moving you up the ladder, and you were being bumped up to a very important position (say Business Develpment for example), and it ensured travel, profit shares, and good earned big pay, but it didn't move you... It didn't excite you... It didn't make you feel any alive, and it made you feel boring and dead, and not to mention the long hours of working 6 days a week and sometimes 7... BUT it would give you all the money in the world and give you what you want (security and material things). ROAD 2: Then there's the other road. Something that excites you, makes you feel alive, and would give you all the worthy experiences in the world... A life of meaning. But it didn't assure you any money or wealth, and you've never done it professionally and you'll be starting from scratch, at the bottom... But is a life of an artist and this is what you want to be. I'd like to know what my fellow MTCers have to say... Well actually I just want to know what to do, I have actually told friends in past to go for ROAD 2 with ease, but the choice is actually very hard to make when its your life... Haaaayy.. It's so hard to turn away from money.... I'm 23 and these are the two roads I have to choose on SOON.

  23. I was on target 'til the Pandemic happened... so lahat ng nabuo at na-execute na na plano eh nabalewala. Pero ganun talaga ang buhay, we need to roll with the punches - it's one of the hardest and most painful lessons we have to go through as we get old : yung mag-fail tremendously tapos matutong bumangon ulit. Wishing everyone is safe and sana matapos na talaga itong Pandemic.

  27. My iPhone 6S worked quite well for me though it's battery has ran its course and need some hardware upgrade somehow. I'm still following an advice I got from a friend when we started working to spend/save money elsewhere than go for regular phone upgrades or buying the latest gadgets.

  28. I'm the breadwinner. Too much sad story here. I've sacrificed too much and get very little in return. It has been close to a decade since my family celebrated my birthday. Last year, they acted like it was an ordinary day. So when my colleagues surprised me with a cake and lunch out to celebrate, I cried. I felt so sorry for myself. I wanted to do things but everything is on hold. You out your dreams on the shelf so you can help your family fulfill theirs. This pandemic has deprived me of an escape since I can't go out. 10 months of being stuck at home and now I'm seeing a counselor for depression. It is sad because my family should have been supporting me achieve my dreams, instead they broke me.

  38. https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/nasa-awards-launch-services-contract-to-blue-origin-for-new-glenn-launch-services NASA Awards Launch Services Contract to Blue Origin for New Glenn Launch Services NASA has awarded a NASA Launch Services (NLS) II contract to Blue Origin and their New Glenn launch service in accordance with the contract’s on-ramp provision. The New Glenn launch service will be available to NASA’s Launch Services Program (LSP) to use for future missions in accordance with the on-ramp provision of NLS II. The NLS II is a multiple-supplier, multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract vehicle with an ordering period through June 2025 and an overall period of performance through December 2027. Each supplier that is a part of NLS II has its own individual contract with LSP. The NLS II on-ramp provision provides an opportunity annually for new launch service providers to be added as a potential supplier and to compete for future NASA missions. The on-ramp provision also allows existing NLS II launch service providers to introduce launch vehicles not currently on its NLS II contract. NLS II contractors must have the ability to successfully launch and deliver a payload to orbit using a domestic launch service capable of placing, at minimum, a 250 kg (551 lb.) payload into a 200 km (124 mile) circular orbit at an inclination of 28.5 degrees. The NLS II contracts support the goals and objectives of the agency's Science Mission Directorate, Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate, and the Space Technology Mission Directorate. Under the contract, NASA can also provide launch services to other government agencies, such as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
