Some of us turn to arts and crafts to destress. Post some of your finished projects here. In the past, I did crochet and knitting but that didn't pan out. I tried painting but I found out that Im a much better digital artist than art on canvas artist. I happened upon a paint by numbers kit recently and it has been my outlet for destressing. If you have any finished works, feel free to post it here. I will start with my favorite "paint by numbers" output. Hopefully, I find a better place for this.

The way we travel has definitely changed. We can no longer easily visit far off places. Some of us have opted to go on staycations. If you recently went on a staycation, please post where, how much, what activities did you do during your staycation and would you recommend it? Feel free to post photos as well. P.S. for selfish reasons, I also need recommendations as I plan to go on a staycation in a couple of weeks.

recommendations Recommendations - Favorite Authors and Books
Viola replied to Do Better's topic in Art and Literature
I like Asimov. I need to get my hands on some of his books soon. As a child, I have a complete set of "Isaac Asimov's Encyclopedia of the Universe". I think that's why I like sci-fi too. To be on topic, one of my favorite books is Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. I read this book in high school and I still have a copy of it until now. Douglas Adams also wrote for the classic Doctor Who series... The 6th book of HHGG was written by Eoin Colfer based on noted Adams left before he died. Sadly, the writing style is so different that I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the first 5 parts of HHGG. -
Ok... Moving on. I've moved on so many times in the past 1) my ex cheated on me several times. At one point, he even asked if he can court another woman while we are still in a relationship. He eventually went back to his ex and I treated him as someone who is dead to me. I didn't really move on fully right after. I lost interest in men and in dating. Until I just gave up on finding someone... I still haven't found anyone new. I knew I finally moved on when my ex reached out to me after 5years. He said he is a new man and he apologized. I realized, I don't need to forgive and forget him. I just don't care about his existence anymore. That's when I knew I moved on. 2) several times, I was rejected and insulted. I sulked. Sometimes I cried. Especially when they make me feel ugly. Then after a day or two, I just forget about it. Most of those who rejected me, I was only starting to see as friends. I guess some expected more than friendship and got disappointed that Im not their type. FYI, most of the time they are also not my type.

sad What Made you Sad Today?
Viola replied to Love and Relationship's topic in LOVE - Matters of the Heart
sm sucat made me sad today. I went there to get curtains that were on sale yesterday... They are no longer on sale. Went to get highlighters, they were out of stock. Went to buy at a specific store , they are already closed. 😞 today's errand is a massive failure.- 64 replies

I have bdo nomura. For those who are already investing, do you think DITO is worth investing? Or would it eventually die down like what happened to Sun? -

Ages 30 to 39 - Are You On Schedule With Your Life Goals?
Viola replied to MedUSA's topic in Career Encouragements
I'm turning 39 in a few weeks. I'm not satisfied with what I have achieved so far. Still loads of things to do. And getting closer and closer to 40, I have a sense of panic that my time is running out. My consolation is that finally, I'm on the right path. I have a job I love and that pays well. I hope this upward trend continues so I can achieve some of the things I've set out to do. I hope when I turn 40, I can say I'm happy with how my life has turned out- 20 replies

🙂 I had an Atari. I would play whatever is in the 64-in-1 cartridge. Mostly the battlestar galactica, contra, pacman, skiing(forgot the name). Then my uncle bought a family computer for my cousin and we started playing tetris. Eventually, mom bought my first desktop when I was in highschool and I can spend long nights playing minesweeper. Then, I discovered MMORPG. First MMORPG bus Pirate King Online. Then moved to Rose Online, Perfect World, etc. Fast forward years after, I started playing Cabal. Im.now a retired "gamer".

app Dating Apps - Tinder, Bumble, etc.
Viola replied to danielwtf's topic in Apps | Gadgets | Tech | Softwares | Tips
I find Tinder boring. Uninstalled it right away. I'm trying out Coffee meets Bagels. It is supposed to be a curated matching app. Gives you 9-10 possible matches based on your preferences. Had a couple of matches but only one person has started a conversation so far. CMB, I think, is more catered to folks who want a long term relationship rather than a casual hook up. -

I'm the breadwinner. Too much sad story here. I've sacrificed too much and get very little in return. It has been close to a decade since my family celebrated my birthday. Last year, they acted like it was an ordinary day. So when my colleagues surprised me with a cake and lunch out to celebrate, I cried. I felt so sorry for myself. I wanted to do things but everything is on hold. You out your dreams on the shelf so you can help your family fulfill theirs. This pandemic has deprived me of an escape since I can't go out. 10 months of being stuck at home and now I'm seeing a counselor for depression. It is sad because my family should have been supporting me achieve my dreams, instead they broke me.
