  1. The Richie Rich kind payed their way just to be there and that is a sad thing...UP for the rich and are for prestige and recognition of sort, not to mention those who came from a political family back ground who adds up to their resume for future campaign sortie, the ''When I was in UP'' speech to put it in perspective;while for the poor who are the real ''skolar ng bayan'' are to secure a better future helping the country along the way. As the song goes ''Padami na ng padami de-kotseng studyante sa State University'' is real!...do I blame those rich clans flocking to UP...NO, because the money those rich student pays in tuition fee helps UP's operations and augmenting the budget given by the government.
  2. Then we will be diving in the ocean of ''lies and deception'' if we considers only what the DND is claiming. How can UP answer a simple quetion of ''Are you breeding communism in your campus''? if DND has it all figure out(atleast in thier view it is a big YES already). In my opinion there is no what if in this scenario as all fingers point in one direction which is a systematic silencing of the academe and the people within the institution and beyond. Plain and simple.
  3. You may be right. However, the chillling effects that this BRUHAHA is creating will last long after this administration is gone.
  4. Academic freedom is just one factor in the equation.Another issue is the one sided termination of ''a binding'' 32 years agreement between two seperate entity, another issue is the backwards mentality of the government towards free-speech and assembly. You cannot just leave your partner of 32 years just because she is talking too much on how you rule the house if i may put it in a more simple perspective.
  7. Nakakalungkot! UP is the only place in the PH with a sufficient space or ground to massively organized towards a certain cause with out any permit and that the police keep thier distance( though spying is real), the media covers the anti-government protest but not the ''other'' protest by non-partisan cause oriented groups. The thing is that if communism is the enemy then take it by the horn and not by the tail. BEKENEMENSER!
  8. The First quarter of 2021 will be very crucial! If our leaders plan on reviving the PH economy this year, we have to atleast rolled-out the vaccination of the frontliners and the seniors by then. Q2,Q3 and Q4 should be then the completion of the targeted 70 Million to be vaccinated. Since naipangutang na ng mahuhusay na nilalang yung pambayad nyang bakuna na para sa masa...might as well roll it out quickly. If we look at the initiative of the private sector...sila na mismo ang nag shoulder ng pagbili ng vaccines ng mga empleyado nila...bakit? kasi ayaw nilang marinig yung kasabihang ''Aanhin pa ang damo, kung patay na ang kabayo''.
  9. So may Vaccine din pala na ''KOREAN''? as is MAGKANOKOREAN?
  10. To some extent halos parehas lang din ako sa online.I am using my OLself as a medium not to hide(except my face hehe), but to be more vocal and in the process learn and share the experience in the real me.
  11. Hinde ka gutom...actually napaka valid ng point mo sir...Imagine if each and every made in China product has a ''PHILIPPINE MADE'' parts/components...eh di wow di ba?
  12. Add to the fact that we thought or to put it lightly trained the Thailanders and the Vietnamese rice tech, farmers etc in IRRA in Los Banos,Laguna.
  13. Bayanihan is widely practice during difficult times such as calamities and typhoons but for me it does not have to be during those times only it should be a constant practice as you said. You are right we have as a nation support locally branded, manufactured and made products...it helps in sustainability, availability of the said commodity and protects the local economy from the influx of cheap yet unreliable imports...take the shoe manufacturing Mecca of the Philippines,Marikina and how it suffers from the influx of cheap China footwear...isa lang ito sa mga example ng marami pang sector na naghihikaos na dahil walang suporta ang tao.
  14. Agree on you on FM, I was able to rub shoulder with him in one of the pamorningan session during the Fiesta in Jhocson St infront of NU, Very down to earth. Musicians tends to look at what the society is going through...sometimes they get inspired by how good or how bad the situation is and make beautiful and meaningful music! Kaleidescope World has some hidden meaning on it.
  16. 1984 - George Orwell I got an interest reading it when it was made as an example in one of the marketing training I attended. I also got a chance to watch the old movie of it. Brief: In a time when all are controlled by the government, and watches all the moves of the populace and constant barrage of propaganda. The main characters got in-love,rebels and indulge in subversiveness. Why do you like the book: The subject itself is timeless, the political and social landscape is still relevant up to this day and the sexual content I can consider as a bonus. Back ground: Set in UK (known in the book and the movie as Airstrip One) A good read, one can wonder how the author relates to the events that tranpires in the novel, perhaps due to his personal experiences living in those times.
  17. Our society has been bastardized with ''ALL forms and sizes'' of corruption, since the time can be remembered. For sure it was rampant during the time of the Spaniards,Americans,Japanese and up to now. It makes me wonder how the billions of pesos lost to corruption/s could have changed the lives of many...from job creation to a massive and effective transport system, better public educational system...in short a much better life for all. No matter how we safeguard and patch the holes in our procurement/spending/disbursement system...palagi pa rin may nakakalusot! Ay puts...lumamig na kape ko!
Mahirap kasi lahat saiyo ang bagsak! emotionally, mentally and financially draining in most times! however, once nakaraos o nakalipas na yung ''E,M and F TRAUMA😃, masarap na sa pakiramdam. Share ko lang din na ang pagiging bread winner ay need not to be for the long haul...need natin sila turuang mangisda nang hinde na lang palaging mang hihingi ng isda. Kung Bread winner ka now, go ahead and do your share on most of the load...but the end goal is to lessen the load as time goes by and positive improvements should be a constant.
