  1. Ae much as I like using shopee... I'm even at a platinum loyalty tier, I might switch back to Lazada

Sometimes, even if you have a great product, when customer service is bad, you lose a customer.

I've been struggling to resolve an issue with shopee for the past week. I've spoken to 3 different agents (+ 2 supervisors) and they all have different answers to the same problem.

So for now I've put any items I would be purchasing on hold. If my issue doesn't get resolved, then I'm moving to back to Lazada.

  2. Men with huge egos. Men who think that a woman's place is in the kitchen or bedroom. Someone who thinks he's the master and should be waited on hand and foot.

Someone who says "pera lang yan, kaya kitain uli" and says "babawi ako next time". These men don't have ambition and drive. These are also the men who will keep on disappointing you until you let them go.

For both men and women, gold diggers. Don't be fooled by a pretty face who makes you feel special. Sometimes, that's just a way for them to milk you for your money.  If they treat you the same way even without you showering gifts on them, then that may mean they are sincere.

If someone (a man or a woman) calls you "love", "honey" or any variations thereof, that doesn't mean they love you.  Assess the situation. Don't be a fool.

Or maybe I'm just cynical.. or maybe I'm speaking from experiences of friends who have been duped by a pretty face or a curvy body or rock solid abs.

Speaking from personal experience, I was once duped by someone who was super sweet from the start that when things started going bad, i justified staying with him with "he was a good bf when we started" excuse.

Again, sometimes it is just their job to make you feel special so that they can milk money off of you.

  3. I subscribed to amazon prime videos... I saw an amazon original titled "jean claude van johnson".

Basically it is van damme poking fun at himself...the premise is , what if van damme was really a black ops agent and him being a "superstar" is just a front. When he shoots his movies on location, that is because he has a mission in that country.

I watched the first two episodes and it was good fun... I don't think I can watch another cheesy episode though.

  4. Our old CRT TV needed to be replaced. I wasn't earning much at that time... This 6-7 years ago.

I swore I would buy my mom a new flat screen TV when I get my 13th month pay.

Then we had our Christmas party and the raffle grand prize is a new LED TV.  The universe converged and I won.

My mom was very happy that Christmas.

I have another unbelievable coincidence recently... But that's a story for tonight...

  5. I'm lucky to work for a company that cares for its employees. We will be given vaccines (if we choose to get vaccinated) for free. We also get to choose the vaccine that we want. And company will also shoulder vaccines for our dependents.

Personally, I have chosen moderna and astra zeneca. Most of my colleagues have chosen these brands too. Almost no one chose sinovac.

  6. I don't really know where is now.  Still alive probably. He sent me a connection request on linked in recently. That's how I know he is still alive. I used to check him out on facebook during the early days.. but it has been a decade or so I guess since we broke up. Last I knew is he got some girl pregnant.

Our last moments... It wasn't good, not at all. I didn't date for several years after him. I completely lost interest. And then when I was ready to mingle again, no one is interested in me anymore.

Being groomed as leader and "being leader" are two different things. Manilatimes is having a hard time looking for photos and videos of Bong Go that's worth pushing to mainstream. The guy has no noticeable impact on youtube, on facebook, on twitter... wala nga pumapansin sa kanya sa senate. Pareho yan sila ni Bato. Saling pusa.

Political parties in the Phils be like... what's in it for us if we support Bong Go? Villar - now he is the one we should keep an eye on. Kayang kaya nya bilhin lahat ng parties.

Besides, the PH is known to install the opposition. Alternate lang. Whoever is on the opposite of the current administration will win.

I agree. He is not a leader and has no impact. Thing is, the herd follows the leader. If the leader says, vote for Bong Go, they will vote for Bong Go.

Here's hoping that the next administration will be better than this one.

Brod, you're saying he is significant? And he has the power to do these things? The follow up question, will he run for president?

He was made to be significant. He's being groomed for higher post. Endorsed by the president himself. Imagine the millions of folks who still trust this administration. Now if the leader said, I completely trust this guy... Wouldn't the herd trust him too? So yes, he is significant and more likely will run as president. Unless, someone more beloved by the masses runs, like Pacquiao.

The "top" candidate is Sarah Du30, but based on recent articles she doesn't have her father's endorsement.  So it is more likely to be Bong Go as a presidentiable.

And yes, he has that power. He has the president wrapped around his finger.

  9. I wonder why the admissions are questionable? Didn't they pass the UPCAT?

What makes middle class or low income more deserving of a spot in UP?  Everybody is treated equally. Their minds evaluated regardless of social status and financial standing.

So if someone rich passed the UPCAT,  then he/she deserves to be an isko/iska. If someone from the middle class or low income sector passed UPCAT, then they are also deserving.

No bias. No prejudice. Just a community of young minds.

I came from a middle class family and mingled with those from the rich ones. Our professors graded us based on performance and not by how much our families are worth.

Also, yes the Filipino people paid for our tuition.. not the government as they seem to always forget. And like other universities, the youths are enriching their minds not only academically but socially and politically.

The youth, not just those from UP, are voicing out injustices. They fight for freedom. Freedom from oppression. Freedom from corruption. They ask for good governance.  Again, not just UP youth.

Lastly, out of hundreds of thousands of students, how many ended up an NPA?  This isn't about protecting the youth. This is now about silencing critics.
