    sharing time

i think it started way back 2011 pa but never really recognized it since i was able to go out and keep my mind off things.

come 2020, when quarantine started, things piled up and what broke me was when people in my family suddenly got diagnosed with diseases. non covid, but life threatening.

i realized that im under depression after finding myself crying while i was working at home. i looked around and saw boxes upon boxes of items i never really used. tldr, the state of my unit actually reflected what i have been going thru and i never realized until then.

    tldr

presently, what im doing as self therapy is to take a selfie of my self whenever im crying. i look at it and talk to it. i use it to keep myself grounded to reality and afirm my resolution of getting over this.

i believe that depression is partly a test of resolve. so i think small steps of acknowledging the problem and addressing those.

to be honest, after this, i'll be taking another selfie.

Thank you for sharing. We all have different ways of dealing with depression.

This pandemic has tested a lot of us. We were forced to face problems that we avoided pre-pandemic.

I hope, you and me and everybody else going through the similar struggles get through this in one piece.

If you need an outlet, post here. Share your thoughts. Take care.

  2. I havent been in a good head space for more than a week now. There are days, you just cry. You try to pick yourself up but you just cant do it.

I tried to cheer myself by watching comedies and I still cried. I just want to be happy. Smile a real smile. Laugh my heart out.

Wth each day of this pandemic, it is getting harder and harder for me.. and there are others like me.. maybe in even worse state of mind.

    Hi there!

My investments goes to a 100% on Mutual funds because they’re a safe investment. As far as I know about, it’s only for people who have more money to risk , it’s not something you should base your retirement strategy on.

No idea how to do cryptocurrency. Like Nightwriter, my money is on mutual funds, bonds and a bit of stocks.

However, I would like to learn how to invest in cryptocurrency.

A correlation study sounds nice. Better if we can create a predictive analysis. 🙂

I really need to sleep more.

  4. Missing someone beyond my reach. It just shows how a couple of weeks can put a dent on one's life. It wont be long, I'll get back to my normal routine of being alone.

I never should have entertained the idea of someone else being there for me. I never should have depended on someone else for comfort

I'll be ok. I'll be ok. Or maybe I won't.

    _------_-------------

    To a certain someone,

Just be ok. Even if I want to reach out, I can't. So just be ok.

Bonus - SOY MILK has 7g of protein per cup (240ml). Will not give you lactose issues, you can mix in your spirulina powder. If you have your favorites please share them here. No wrong or right reply. Stay healthy 🙂

Maybe i should try going vegan.. i prefer soy milk over regular milk. What's the protein content of almond milk?

  6. You and I are not romantically linked.. but we do share a common bond.

I cannot reach you now. But i do hope you find what you are looking for. I do hope you emerge out of this unscathed.

And if by off-chance you think of me, Im drowning but I'm still fighting. I'll be ok.

    So strive to be ok.

  7. An update on the community pantry..

    1) we launched ours last saturday, coordinated with the church and in less than an hour, the pantry is empty.

    2) as me and my cousins are all working, we cannot sustain manning the pantry, so we directed all donations to our church and they are the ones handling it. We still get an overwhelming amount of donations on a daily basis but those are all directed to the church now.

    3) 3 other independent pantries opened up in our community. These are organized by individuals unlike ours where the church oversees our donations.

    4) our barangay captain wants all organizers to coordinate with them for supposedly implementing health protocols. I answered them how they can implement it when their own tanods and kagawads no longer wear face masks and face shields. Many members of the community also reminded our kapitan hownhe gathered our neighbors to raffle off "bikes" for his youtube channels before starting to give out the 4k ayuda.

    5) organizers informed him that they dont want to mix charity with politics.

Here are some photos of our pantry last saturday. The church helped us maintain social distancing, they did crowd control and most importantly, they kept people out of the sun by providing them shade.

  8. Someone said they'll be there.. and without any warning disappeared. I dont know what i did or what i said.

But if that's what they want, i cant really do anything about it. Im not going after them or beg them to stay.

    I'll just let them be.

And be sad that it ended suddenly.
