At 45 I Dreamed of Death (2019 Marc 22) At 45 the universe connected with me through my dreams, told me to hold you tight. In my dreams I saw the planet killer, devourer of life, ender of hope, the apocalypse in the form of a giant space rock. The radio said we had 2 minutes left but death pummelled through the clouds earlier than expected. I don't think it mattered. No length of time is enough to say goodbyes. We were at the top of Antipolo overlooking Ortigas. At first it was slow, beautiful almost to behold. Without warning the huge object accelerated and disintegrated buildings throwing pieces of the earth to the heavens, and then I finally realised that our love has come to an end. You were strong you faced the end, I turned my back and embraced you one last time. I said mahal na mahal kita, Love. But the pain never came. It was dark and cold, I saw stars.

appreciation How to Appreciate Your Wife's Cooking
Do Better posted a blog entry in How to Take Care of Your Wife
Sit properly, your body should be facing the table squarely. Elbows out, legs open not crossed. Your body should be open, ready to accept the goodness. Lean forward on every bite you do. Use both hands if it's eaten with bare hands, if it's eaten with utensils use spoon and fork. Eat the food while it's smoking hot, make sure you blow air to cool the food you're about to put into your mouth. Do not over fill your mouth. Smile after you swallow the first mouthful, and say your compliments. Short and simple praises is enough. Do not compare your wife's cooking to your mothers if your mother is a better cook than your wife. Do not say it's salty, or too sweet, or the taste is off. She already knows it, you don't need to give her feedback now. Feedbacks can be given after the plates are cleaned. Don't ask any questions on how she cooked it. She knows you don't mean asking questions. You will not remember the recipe even if she tells you how it was done. Eating a lot is the best compliment ever. -
communication How to Eat Together With Your Wife and Children
Do Better posted a blog entry in How to Take Care of Your Wife
Leave all devices in another area of the house. Don't bring cellphones to the eating table. You can take pictures of food but make sure you don't place your cellphone nearby. Turn off the television, turn down loud music. No gadgets in the table. Sit beside your wife, not in front. Serve your wife first. Scoop the rice from the pot onto her plate, if this is the first time you're doing it inform her that you would like to serve her first. Smile. Then you scoop rice for yourself. During the meal, when your wife is not holding her spoon or fork, surprise her by holding your wife's wrist, a light stroke down and up and then a light grip. Say something nice. Praise your children if they eat vegetables. Crack jokes, share with your children what you saw on YouTube etc. Don't ask children uncomfortable questions. You hated questions when you were a kid, your kids hate them too. Stay away from difficult topics like school work. Keep the conversation fun! Avoid placing soft drinks or any kind of beverage container on the eating table. This will encourage kids to eat more food prepared by your wife. Leave the dirty beverage containers in the kitchen. Volunteer to get your wife water or drinks when the meal is about to be concluded. Timing is key. Go to the kitchen and prepare her drinks. If its water ask if she wants it with ice or warm. After your wife is served you can then make your own glass of water or drink. Washing dishes will be another topic.
