Let's set aside the other issues being raised.  Bottom line, officially, what are the reasons for the DND dissolving the agreement?  UP should focus on answering those and nothing more.

Anything that are not related to the official reasons, are just noise.  Let's simplify the issue; otherwise, if we bring in so many "what if" situations into the discussion, nothing gets resolved.

Then we will be diving in the ocean of ''lies and deception'' if we considers only what the DND is claiming. How can UP answer a simple quetion of ''Are you breeding communism in your campus''? if DND has it all figure out(atleast in thier view it is a big YES already). In my opinion there is no what if in this scenario as all fingers point in one direction which is a systematic silencing of the academe and the people within the institution and beyond. Plain and simple.

Academic freedom is still there.. What's the issue?will they close the school...

Academic freedom is just one factor in the equation.Another issue is the one sided termination of ''a binding'' 32 years agreement between two seperate entity, another issue is the backwards mentality of the government towards free-speech and assembly. You cannot just leave your partner of 32 years just because she is talking too much on how you rule the house if i may put it in a more simple perspective.

I love your reply, every bit of it!

I'm sure the printer you bought will last the same as the other brands.

How do we teach people to make a committed choice? There was once a campaign Proudly Philippine Made, it's gone now. It was headed by Conception Industries. I think there's a way to get the big players involved. But the sons and grandsons of these tycoons are so focused on making money, not saving the Philippines.

Maybe we should separate "love for country" from "happiness from buying worthwhile products". You just cant beat China. Or maybe we analyse these issues from a global perspective and stop having a country mentality. Go for global pride? Save the planet? Preserve cultures?

    Gutom lang siguro ako 🙂

Hinde ka gutom...actually napaka valid ng point mo sir...Imagine if each and every made in China product has a ''PHILIPPINE MADE'' parts/components...eh di wow di ba? Sadly sa ngayon black sand na lang galing Norte na illegal pa atang tinitira ng China yung components na PH made...di pa na crecredit sa atin! hehehe

Agree with you on the current situation of rice.

Crap.  From a rice - exporting country to a rice - importing country.  Heads should have rolled for this.

Add to the fact that we thought or to put it lightly trained the Thailanders and the Vietnamese rice tech, farmers etc in IRRA in Los Banos,Laguna. Kaya minsan hinde ko rin masisi yung mga nagsasabi na Tayong mga Pinoy ay ang ''SICKMAN OF ASIA'' eh!

For a country that claims :bayanihan" as part of its culture, it's difficult to find this in practice.

People patronizing products that have been manufactured abroad over its local counterpart.  Surely our country would progress faster if people buy Philippine - made products.

Bayanihan is widely practice during difficult times such as calamities and typhoons but for me it does not have to be during those times only it should be a constant practice as you said. You are right we have as a nation support locally branded, manufactured and made products...it helps in sustainability, availability of the said commodity and protects the local economy from the influx of cheap yet unreliable imports...take the shoe manufacturing Mecca of the Philippines,Marikina and how it suffers from the influx of cheap China footwear...isa lang ito sa mga example ng marami pang sector na naghihikaos na dahil walang suporta ang tao.

Why do you think people who are living the "alternative" lifestyle are the ones who sometimes sing the truth? Francis M also had OK lyrics.

Agree on you on FM, I was able to rub shoulder with him in one of the pamorningan session during the Fiesta in Jhocson St infront of NU, Very down to earth. Musicians tends to look at what the society is going through...sometimes they get inspired by how good or how bad the situation is and make beautiful and meaningful music! Kaleidescope World has some hidden meaning on it.

  8. To resonate or to flock with the same feathers must not be an excuse for us to ''reason-out'' differently, especially at times when you feel like you are just floating on certain topic/s. A certain stand is best practice infront of the very same group you are with. Some will dis agree, some might agree  and some will be reserved at first, however the end goal is for realization and voicing-out is not a bad thing! it might bring out the best (or the worst) in ones personality.
