  1. College days 2006, U-Belt: Recto.

Got my wallet picked while I was checking out some CDs in Tower Recto. I know, rookie mistake. Went back inside our campus. Thinking of ways on how I can survive the week. Noticed a crumpled paper (being me, I just had to pick it up and throw it in the bin), lo and behold, it's cash! 2 1,000 pesos crumbled. Don't know how and why, but I was just thankful that I found it.

Survived off Yakisoba-Rice and siomai for the rest of the week.

Some deep sit-com cuts! Love it! Used to watch on Star World. Along with The Simpsons, Everybody Loves Raymond, Drew Carry Show, and Who's Line Is It.

Very high possibility that Terry Silver will be making an appearance this coming Season 4. Also read that there's a possibility of Julie (from The Next Karate Kid) making a short appearance. Can't wait for Season 4! 😄

Terry Silver, it's a sure thing for season 4. They really created a back story for John Kreese. At the end of that back story, they gave fans a reason to get hyped. Not sure how they can add Julie to the story though. But, still wishing they would bring Barnes and have him train Robby for the tournament arc.

  4. Since this is my topic, let me share 2 movies that made me utter the words; What! The! F*ck?!

First one would be The Mist. A movie adaptation from the book Stephen King's The Mist. No, I haven't read the book, so I can't comment if the story was that good to have the movie adaptation. The reason why it's on the list, the ending of the movie. SPOILER ALERT! They killed themselves by blowing their brains out. Also, they even included the kid with their brilliant idea. Why did they shoot themselves? Because of a rumbling sound that they heard, and though to themselves that those were monsters that are coming to get them. But no, those were the army coming to save any survivors. So yeah, WTF?!

Second movie on my list, Shōjo Tsubaki (少女椿) "The Camellia Girl". It's an OVA base from the manga with the same title. Saw the OVA (Original Video Animation), because of some TikTok challenge. Also saw some reaction videos from YT, and I was intrigued by their reviews. Red flag, the anime was banned in Japan. Considered one of the most controversial pieces of Anime due to the story and some of the scenes. Not for the faint hearted. Some of the scenes will really either give you either depression or make you barf. That's the only description I can provide, but my words aren't enough to describe how weird the OVA was. It's not as scary as Junji Ito's work, but damn it will drag you down the rabbit hole. I did appreciate the art style. Classic animation, it's as if it was ripped out of the manga and they gave it life.  Knowing that the whole OVA was f*ed up, a director named TORICO decided to do a live-action adaptation of it. Also, don't watch this with the hope that it'll get better at the end. NO! It's depression turned into anime. I don't suggest the movie, but if you're really curious about the story, it's available on YouTube. Just don't blame me if it left a bad taste after watching it.

I remember The Labyrinth.. I think it haunted me for a long time... It was memorable for me because of the "Escher stairs" scene. It was scary and fascinating at the same time.  My parents left me to my own devices. So I can operate the betamax/vhs players on my own and I just pick whatever sounds interesting from my parents' stash of tapes.

PS the first few posts on this thread are of "scary" movies. Were we all scarred/traumatized as kids? 🙂

Damn! The Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal really fvcked me up when I was a kid. Just saw those movies since my sister always get to pick the movie every Sunday night. Being alone, in the dark, and closets really scared me. But that was when I was 8yrs old. But a couple of years back, I got the chance to download the watch the 2 movies. Now, I'm a fan of those 2. Especially The Labyrinth, for one good reason. David Bowie. Ziggy Stardust himself was really brilliant in the movie as Jareth, The King of Goblins.
