  1. It can feel stupid to ‘be real’ especially in business and career relationships. It’s best not to listen to the voice that tells you to be someone you’re not.

  2. If you're a safe (slow and boring) driver like me, you feel like you're just throwing away money every year on your car insurance. What's your car insurance? Here's a list of the best car insurance companies for 2021. Geico's clever commercials ensure that it remains one of the best-known car insurance options in the country, but its customers know the company for the great service and support it offers, along with some of the cheapest insurance prices. Geico's 97% customer satisfaction rate speaks for itself, as does its long list of honors, including the most desired insurer according to Kanbay Research Institute. You know, just in case the gecko isn't enough to convince you that you want its insurance coverage. A giant in the insurance world with over 18 million customers, Progressive manages to attract and retain so many satisfied customers with continued commitment to saving its customers money on their car insurance rates. Progressive was the first auto insurer to offer safe driver discounts, which makes the company a great option for people with a good driving record who are looking for the cheapest car insurance options. Even today, customers who switch to Progressive save an average of $699 on their car insurance premium per year. Auto-Owners Insurance may not have the flashy marketing presence of the competition, but how many of them can say they've been around almost as long as cars have? Established in 1916, the company has nearly 3 million car insurance policy holders across 26 states. Its high rankings from J.D. Power might prompt you to check if it has coverage where you live. Ranked the No. 1 auto insurer in California, Esurance in quickly making inroads around the country (the company operates in 43 states). A division of Allstate, Esurance promises customers that switching or signing up for car insurance can be as easy as possible, or "painless," as the company puts it. Users agree with the assessment, as reviews on the website call attention to how fast and easy it is to sign up with this car insurance provider, either online or with the Esurance app. And calling all introverts, you likely won't have to talk with an insurance agent directly to get set up. Operating globally, Liberty Mutual is the fifth-largest property and casualty insurer in the world. Still, the company makes it very clear that its business starts with you and the first step in that journey is getting an insurance coverage quote. Most insurers offer free car insurance quotes on their websites, but Liberty Mutual offers you discounts for using its own -- you can save up to 12% off your rate by getting a car insurance policy quote online. With over 90 years covering drivers, Nationwide has learned a thing or two about what keeps customers happy (and in turn, what keeps them customers). The company's list of visions and values shows exactly where its priorities lie. Top ratings from a variety of outlets (such as A.M. Best, S&P and Moody's) would suggest that it's working. Those values extend to employees, as well -- Nationwide was ranked No. 53 in Fortune's most recent list of the "100 Best Companies to Work For." Among the many plans Travelers offers is a car insurance coverage policy that you can customize based on your needs. Rather than upsell users, Travelers offers a host of resources (in the form of blog posts) designed to educate motorists prior to policy purchase. An informed customer is a happy customer. A division of Liberty Mutual, Seattle-based Safeco has been in the car insurance business for over 85 years and has been a national presence for more than two decades. Safeco partners with local agents who can devote the time and attention that customers need in order to get all of their individual car insurance questions answered and coverage type requests met. If we were judging solely on satisfaction, the United Services Automobile Association would take the top spot in our best car insurance companies rankings. What affects the USAA's ranking is that its scope is narrower than those of most other auto insurers, as the company only offers coverage to service members, veterans and their families. That said, USAA offers prices that even beat Geico's, with customers who switch saving an average of $707 a year.

  3. I used to be proud of seeing Made in UP politicians but spox just made me cringe when he interpreted the community pantries as not a sign of distrust. There will be no community pantries if the ayuda system worked in the first place. P4,000 per family is not enough. You close down businesses and handout ayudas? 4K will not be able to feed a family until April 30. It's an imagination. A wild one! An imagination you get while sedated in a hospital bed, about to undergo cesarean. We have 10 days to go, yipee! I hope they stop blaming businesses as the cause of the spikes. Business owners exert effort to follow procedures. The incentive is there to keep their businesses clean, sila din naman magkakasakit if they don't disinfect. The spikes are from the congested residentials. The reason why the spikes were traced back to the businesses? - because houses don't have contact tracing.

  5. Me and my cousins are starting one as well. We reached out to people we know, and in less than a day we have more donations than what we can handle. So we are enlisting the help of our church to set this up. We havent even started and we already received overwhelming response from people who want to help.

  6. Even the senators are siding with the pantries! Wait lang kayo, some senators will find a way to twist this the other way around... The senators are partly responsible of how the government handled covid last year. Naubos na nga ang kaban ng bayan.

  7. The absence of an updated list of Philippine citizens with relevant details especially banking related is one of the reasons we're stuck with the system of people having to physically go out to get government financial assistance. Plain inefficient and dangerous in a pandemic environment. The concept of a community pantry's OK, but some people have started putting meaning into the project and that have caught the attention of those in government, who are itching to red tag. As much as everybody's entitled to their own opinion, this is one instance wherein it's best that they should have shut themselves up and promote the concept.

  8. The "Ayuda System" may even cause spikes on places where they require them to go to a specified place and line up by the hundreds if not thousands to get the max 4k financial help. Our family was not listed, not gonna complain as our jobs were stable even in this pandemic. But... How are they choosing who to get? I have colleagues with wages higher than mine but they are getting Ayuda from the Govt.

  11. Dear Papa. Thank you for raising me even if you’re not my biological father. I don’t know if you’d be shocked in knowing that i’m not yours but you certainly made a huge impact in my life. Despite of Mama’s drama overtures and complicit accusations, you’ve decided to leave her and you took me with you. You died 20 years ago. I was on my own, your voice resonated in my head - and it made me through tough times. Little did i learned that secrets were unfolding right before me. I received a card a few years ago that i have to come home and attend a funeral. It was at a big funeral place on Mindanao Avenue where the rich people have theirs. The person who died was an old family friend who i’ve worked for when i was a teen. Remember him, Papa? he told Grandma that i should work during the summer break? i was very keen of having 1200 pesos a month, not bad for a kid who doesn’t know much about Excel but the work ethic is good and learned to value currency and savings. Later on my 18 birthday and on my 1st semester in college - he bought me a present - it was a small expensive watch. I declined the gift and was confused about his intentions and he understood my hesitation. He put the watch in his pocket and then i could hardly remember afterwards. As i stepped out of the car, in front of the grand place. The whole building was well lighted and the smell of burning incense was as rancid as the Pasig river made me dizzy. I got the room number and i entered the door and as I stepped in, all the people who i’ve worked with in my teen years hugged me and shaked my hand. There were strange people who took my hand and made me sit with them. They asked about my flight and i said it was long. How’s my life working for the ‘brewery’ and i said good. The strange people were his 3 sons - all Doctors. First time i’ve seen his boys. ” We’ve decided to return this to you” one of them exclaimed and handed the watch. ” I didn’t know he kept it afterall these years!, it must be 20 years since i’ve seen this!” i gasped and smiled as i held it in my hand. ” We never expect you’d turn down the rolex but Dad always reminded us about that moment you turned it down”. ” we’re actually wondering why you did, Kat..”. “ I was too young to have an extravagant gift.” i replied. ” But did you look at the back of it?”. - No. Then i looked at the back and there were words engraved. My eyes got big and about to swallow a huge lump of spit. Then i read : ’ to my only daughter, I love you always, Dad’.
